I would have to see that in writing. someone of that personality wouldn't fit it at all with the administration.

they can't actually do away with the sport but in small ways the program can die out.
I think the "dying out" process started a long time ago in Pound.

Seems to me that Pound played for a State Championship around 1999...that wasn't so long ago...so that shows me they CAN win...it's just a matter of dedication and "WANT TO"...
